Dear Friends,
Prayer is needed for the following clients....
- Dell met with a man in need of material assistance for his
girlfriend's child. She spoke with him about Jesus, his responsibility as a
man, and need for marriage. Pray for conviction.
- A woman in her thirties came in for a pregnancy test which was
negative. She is a heroine addict and mother of two children.
She admitted to prostitution to support her habit because she can "make lots
of money" doing this. Also began to use crack cocaine. Plans to
get into a methadone clinic next week and desires to get her life
straightened out. Dell shared the Gospel with her, prayed with her,
and agreed to stay in contact. Please pray this woman will turn to the
Lord for help and salvation. She admits that her lifestyle may be
affecting her children. Please pray God will protect them.
- Jane met recently with a young client that had just given birth a little
earlier to a son. She had been in our thrift store and built a
relationship with Julia and me and was eager to return to the center for our
free layette. Baby is doing well. This client needs the Lord in
her life. Please pray for salvation for her and her boyfriend. Viewed
The Good Test dvd, but was not quite ready for a commitment yet. Please she
will stop by both our center and thrift store so that we can once again
engage her in conversation She has often stopped by just to talk.
We believe she is lonely and searching.
- The previous client brought in a friend as well that had just had a
baby. She had a history of two previous abortions and this was her
first baby carried to term. Client is unsaved and uninterested in
spiritual issues. When asked to view the Good Test, she refused, as
well as was not interested in a gospel presentation. She is currently
seeing "all kinds of doctors" for psychological help following her two
abortions and a car accident. Please pray that she would be open to
hearing how she can really be healed of the guilt, shame and anger of her
past abortions through Jesus Christ. This lady really needs the Lord -
please pray for her heart to be softened and that she will return to the
center.
It was a relatively slow week, but we were faced with some real challenges.
Please remember to pray for these clients not only now but in the future.
So many are leading very immoral lives, but still seem to be seeking for
something better. The Lord continues to bring teens and young women to
our door that need to hear the truth of God's Word. Praise Him also
for the dedicated volunteer Client Advisors that labor weekly in the center,
as well as clothing sorters who periodically come in to help prepare
clothing for distribution.
