Dear Friends,
Prayer is needed for the following clients....
- 1.Cathy continues to follow up and see a client due the end of this week. She needs much prayer,
as she has decided to parent rather than adopt. She attends a believing
church where they have graciously reached out to her.
- Unbelieving client refused to view The Good Test DVD and believes her
good works will get her to heaven. She is a Muslim and convinced Jesus was
just a prophet. Refuses any used clothing. Please pray for softened heart
that will hear the Gospel. Also pray for Cathy to be able to reach out to
her again.
- Jane met with a lady in her thirties for material assistance. She is a
believer, attending a believing church in the area. They spent time in Rom.
12 and discussed living for the Lord, renewing our minds, and reading the
Word daily. Pray her walk with the Lord will be strengthened.
- A teen came to the center indicating she doesn't do much wrong but is
going to heaven. She does not attend a church but understands sex outside
marriage was wrong. She and her boyfriend are looking for work. Jane took
them to John 3 where they discussed the need to be born again. Client never
heard of repentance. Jane continued with Rom. 3:23; 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9; and 1
John 5:13. She was encouraged to attend a bible believing church in the
area.
- Dell met with a young woman who is caring for her sister's children as
well as her own. There is now a total of six children in the family Her
sister just had a baby and is drug addicted. Dell encouraged her through
scripture and a need to attend church. The woman is unsaved, but does send
her children to a church. Dell gave her several bags of supplies for the
new children coming into her family. Pray she will seek the Lord and raise
these children in a Christian environment.
- A woman in her mid thirties met with Dell and requested material
assistance. She is an unbeliever and has been here previously. The Gospel
was presented to her again; pray for salvation.
- I met with a Christian teen in need of encouragement and support. Pray
she will do the right thing. We prayed together and she left with renewed
hope.
- A mother of two met with me and was in need of formula and diapers.
Says she's a believer, but states she will go to hell because of her
lifestyle. Attends church occasionally. Gospel was presented and she
nodded in agreement, but made no commitment.
- Another young woman, a believer, was in need of diapers for two
children. She is working hard to complete her GED and has been offered a
temp job. She is focused on working to provide for her children.
Several clients called us for advice on the phone, but never came in. Many
times we communicate with our clients in this manner, always encouraging
them to come to the center for additional counsel and assistance. A young
woman with a high risk pregnancy called indicating her baby was now of a
suitable weight and was stable enough to leave the hospital. We will see
her next week. This is a client we have built a relationship with through the
thrift store. Pray that the counsel next week will be fruitful, as she is
unsaved. She seemed open and reachable the last time we met.
Personal prayer request. Our 40 year old son had a serious heart attack
early this week. He has undergone heart catherization and placement of a
stent; another procedure to be done late this week. Some concerns about
kidneys not functioning properly. Please pray for healing and guidance of
the cardiologist and staff.
