Dear Friends,
Dear Friends,
Another busy week with many prayer needs
- 1. Jen met with a Muslimi woman that has been in previously. Client indicated she has a Christian friend
and she "knows what's in the Bible." Jen encouraged her to continue to read it, but the client did not want to
discuss spiritual things. She simply wanted the free diapers and clothing items. Please pray her heart would
be softened to know the Truth of the Bible.
- Anne met with a 21 year old client in need of material assistance. She attends a church but was not sure
if she would go to heaven should she died, yet indicated she was "saved." States she knows what sin is, but didn't
appear to feel any guilt or remorse over past sins. Refused brochure on abstinence and indicated she would be
sexually active again if the situation was available. She is a rape victim and appears to be angry at God.
Believes the Bible is not reliable and has contradictions. Anne tried to share the Gospel with her, to give her
assurance of heaven, but she simply refused to discuss it. Said she did not want to know where she was going should
she die. Please pray that this young client would be more open in the future.
- Another 21 year old met with Jen expressing need for baby supplies for her almost one year old child. Is
living with her boyfriend and sees no wrong in this. States she is a believer and periodically attends a church in the
area. Was not receptive to spiritual counsel regarding lifestyle, marriage, etc.
- Anne met with a 40-ish married woman who needed supplies for her two mo. old child. She was a believer and is
trusting in the shed blood of Jesus for salvation!
- Young client we had prayed about previously delivered her baby (premie) after a high risk pregnancy. Baby is
doing well. Praise God! Jane met with her and discovered she had still not expressed faith in Jesus. We had witnessed to
her several times in previous visits, both in the thrift store and the center, and she had viewed The Good Test dvd. She
seems somewhat convicted of her sins. Jane shared Eph. 2:8,9, John 3:36, and 3:16. Please continue to pray she will accept
Jesus.
- Julia met with a young client that delivered earlier this year. She was raised by an aunt who was a Christian,
but client stated she'd go to hell. She indicated we should just have fun (sin) and then ask for forgiveness. Her mother
takes care of her baby much of the time because of a mental health condition and actually has legal custody. Mother was
wearing a possible wiccan t-shirt that read "Order of Fallen Angels" and depicted a group of what appeared to be witches.
Daughter is unaware of her mother's beliefs. Please pray for this family and the baby.
- Jane met with a teenager that just gave birth to a son. She plans to marry the father of the baby soon. Did not
believe she was a sinner when presented the gospel. She was shown in Rom. 3:23, 6:23, John 3:15, 16 that she is sinful and
in need of a Savior. Pray for her salvation.
- Jane also met with a lady in her mid-twenties that needed material assistance for a newborn. She has been living
with a young man for quite awhile and feels "living a good life" will get her into heaven. Gospel was presented clearly with
scripture. Pray for salvation.
- Cathy met with a client she has been following for quite some time. Chastity was discussed as well as other
spiritual issues. Client is concerned about Christian counseling she'd received elsewhere and will discontinue it. They
discussed what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Continue to pray for a safe delivery.
- Julia met with another client we have seen previously for material assistance. She is going to job training for
a nurses aide position. Currently is pregnant. .
Today we received a phone call from an abortion minded single client. She could not get a ride here at the
moment, but will try to come in tomorrow. Please pray she comes in so that we can share the Gospel with her as well as
information about the baby forming in her womb.
Update on my son.... he did suffer a heart attack, had stents placed in 3 vessels, with a possibility of
a fourth placement if the stress test doesn't go well in a week or so. He will have to make significant lifestyle changes,
particulary dietary and exercise. Thank you for previous prayers... he's still in great need as he recovers. He is very weak
and tired.
