Valley Forge Baptist Church Missions
Dear Friends,
Hope you are all enjoying your summer! We are keeping relatively busy with clients and looking forward to October as we celebrate 25 years of ministry. Some prayer needs for us:
- Jen met with aa 30-ish year old client in need of a crib and baby clothing. Attends a local church, but seemed unsure about heaven even though she says she's a believer. Living with boyfriend. Pray she will be convicted of her sin, repent, and believe.
- A pregnant client in her twenties met with Cathy. She is at a shelter with her children and "just got clean" from a heroin addiction earleir this year. Searching for a Bible church, so was given a referral for one. Please pray she will continue to stay off all drugs and raise her children in a Christian environment. She seems eager to do so!
- Cathy met with another client involved with a young man who has multiple children by other women. She has a history of two abortions and believes because of them she can never enter heaven. Cathy took her to 1 John 1:8-10, Rom. 3:23; 3:10, and she viewed The Good Test. She expressed to the client that God certainly can forgive an abortion, and taught her how to pray. Please join us in praying this young gal will return for additional counsel regarding her abortion. Cathy plans to mail her a note about forgiveness.
- Julia counseled a woman in her thirties with two children and a newborn. She is unsaved and children have three different fathers. Client considers herself a "part-time Christian," and doesn't want to direct her teenage children to go to church since that should be their choice. Please pray for her salvation.
Client Advisors made numerous followup phone calls and sent out notes to many of our clients seen previously. Please continue to pray for those that are expecting babies soon, for their finances and for salvation for many of them. They have clearly heard the Gospel at Genesis and hope and pray someone else will water the seeds we have sown!
