Dear Friends,
More challenges faced us this past week. Please lift these individuals
up in prayer as well as our staff and board....
-
Some of you will recall a client with several children, a widow
(husband killed in car accident), who had a benign growth on her spinal
cord. She has had surgery four times to remove it, but it keeps coming
back and doctors in Philadelphia at various hospitals are very confused as
to what they can do to treat it. She is struggling financially.
She had called for someone to talk to. Jane met with her, once again
shared the Gospel, and tried to encourage her. One of the client's
daughters had surgery for a fractured elbow recently and her basement
flooded, causing loss of clothing and some other personal things. Due
to the generosity of a supporting church, we were able to give her gift
cards for Giant Food Stores. She was extremely grateful for the help.
Please pray for her financial, emotional and spiritual needs.

Jane met with another client that has come often to our center.
She was given some supplies and once again was engaged in a spiritual
discussion. She professes to be a believer. One of her children
remains in foster care with another family. Jane took her to Col. 3.
Two children with her poorly disciplined. Client has been in trouble
with the law. Pray she will get her life in order and rely upon the
Lord. Also pray that she will seek to properly discipline her
children, teaching them respect for authority, and provide consistency in
her discipline of them.
-
A client in her mid-twenties tested positive and plans to carry to
term. She is single and attends a church in the area, but had never
heard the gospel presented. Jane took her to Rom. 3:23, 6:23; John
3:16; 14:6; then Romans 10:9-13 and 2 Peter 3:9. A discussion was
held on marriage as well as her need to believe. Please pray for
salvation.
-
An older client met with Anne requesting baby supplies. She
is beginning a home business and attends a believing church. Please
pray for her walk with the Lord to grow as well as her business.
-
Julia met with a client in her early twenties who is expecting
soon. She has made no provision for this newborn and was seeking baby
clothing and other supplies. She would not respond clearly to
conversation generated by Julia and is an unbeliever. Little to no
interest in spiritual discussion. Pray for salvation.
-
Young man in his thirties came in for baby items. He had just gotten
out of a shelter. His fiancé seriously injured from car accident and
hospitalized for two months. Father of four children, one
with disabilities. History of prison confinement in the past. He is
an unbeliever. Please pray he will read spiritual materials sent home
with him. Also that he will find a home, job, and get his finances
together.
-
Believing client in her twenties came in for some assistance with
formula. Having some marital issues. Please pray both husband
and wife will work on their marriage and seek God's will for their lives.
