Dear Friends,
The warm summer days of August have kept us busy. Several prayer
needs follow:
-
A Muslim woman who has been here previously came in for
supplies. Jen was able to have a spiritual discussion with her and helped
her to understand the story of Adam and Eve. She was also taken to
several NT scriptures. The client stated she does not have time to
read the Bible and has to read the Koran because Ramadan is coming up.
Pray for her salvation and softened heart.
-
Anne met with a young woman who is an unbeliever and came in for
baby supplies for her infant. She is separated from her husband and
works parttime. She is unsure of eternity even after watching The Good
Test. Another child lives with her parents and she is ok with that.
She never attended any of the churches she'd been referred to previously.
Pray for conviction of her sins.
-
Another client came in for diapers and clothing for her baby. Is
working towards her GED and recently began attending a church in a nearby
town. She told Anne she was saved, but seemed confused. Anne
took her to several scriptures and encouraged her to place her faith alone
in Jesus. She did pray to receive Christ and was encouraged to keep
reading her BIble. Pray she continues in her walk with the Lord and
gets into a bible believing church.
-
Jane met with a young client also in need of baby supplies.
She had been working fjulltime, but had hours reduced to half.
Boyfriend is in jail for drugs previously and now unable to find a job.
Listened to The Good Test and acknowledged that God forgives our sins.
Several NT scriptures were turned to and read. Please pray for her
salvation and better understanding of what Jesus has done for her.
-
A client that had just given birth came to us for a layette and
formula. She has heard the Gospel previously from us on multiple
occasions. She reported that she had asked Jesus to come into her life
a month or so ago. Jane will follow up with her.
-
Jen met with another client in her thirties who is married and very
likely unsaved. She indicated she "does not have time for God; He is
last on her list." Jen discussed the Ten Commandments with the client
and spoke with her about how she could know she was headed to heaven.
Client stated she's heard this all before and is not interested.
Please continue to pray for Dell Lapps as she gets radiation treatments for
the cancerous growth on her arm.
Thanks for taking the time to read this email and pray for our clients and
staff. We greatly appreciate you!
