Dear Friends,
This past week was busy and challenging for the staff.
- Julia met with a client in her twenties who wanted a pregnancy
test. She had tested positive about a year ago, but had miscarried
that baby. Julia asked if she'd read the spiritual material sent home
with her previously, and she acknowledged she had.
- Upon inquiring about any life changes she might have made following their
discussion and her reading of the Bible and other pamphlets, the client
indicated that her boyfriend had moved in with her. Even though Julia
pointed out to her that this sinful lifestyle was not acceptable in God's
eyes, she seemed comfortable with it and has no intentions of changing.
Client seems to have little direction in her life. Please pray He will
open her eyes to the truth.
- An almost thirty year old client met with Cathy for a pregnancy
test which turned out to be negative. Client stated she was a
believer, as is her boyfriend. He wants to get married, but she wants
to save enough money for a "proper" wedding. Cathy took her to 1 Cor.
6:15-20. Client has two children from former boyfriend who is in jail.
Please pray that both will repent, separate, get married and walk with the
Lord.
- Jane met with a teen who had just delivered a baby in August.
She is hoping to return to school. Client states she is saved and that
her current boyfriend has been taking her to church. The father of the
child is incarcerated, but may be released this fall. The client expressed
concerns about both her safety and her child's when he is released. Client's
step father had been abusive towards her. Client asked to see The Good
Test (her sister had told her about it!) as well as some of our spiritual
information. Please pray for her continued walk with the Lord as she
seeks to know more of Him.
- A client in her late twenties came for a pregnancy test and met
with Anne. The test was negative. She had a history of one past
abortion and has three children. When questioned about where she'd spend
eternity, she indicated what many of our clients do, that she would go to
heaven based on her good works. Anne spent time showing her in
scripture that this is not the way to heaven. This young woman they
prayed with Anne to accept Jesus as her Savior! Please pray she will
return for additional Bible study and begin attending a bible believing
church.
- Jane met with an older teen for a pregnancy test which was
negative. Client lives with her boyfriend. Believes we are
sinners but that God forgives. She is trusting in her good works to
enter heaven. Jane spent time with her in the Scriptures pointing her
to faith in Jesus alone. Pray for these words to have had an impact on
her and that she will choose to believe.
- A client in her mid-twenties met with Jen seeking supplies for a
baby that will be born late this fall. Client states she has "asked
Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and save me."
She has a younger child as well. The father of the children was
studying to be a pastor, but has now walked away from this. He is not
supportive or involved with their lives. This young client will graduate
next summer from local college. Please pray this young mother can
raise her children in a godly home alone and complete her education.
Also, she needs to get back into church. Jen urged her to do daily
devotions, and seek the Lord every day.
- A mother in her thirties with a two month infant came into meet
with Anne. She is an unbeliever, but told Anne she was going to
heaven. Anne immediately took her to scripture where they discussed
salvation. The client expressed understanding and was referred to some
local churches. Please pray she will pray to have her sins forgiven
and establish a personal relationship with Jesus. She also begins a
new job this week, so please pray she will be successful.
Thanks so much for your prayers on our behalf!
