Valley Forge Baptist Church Missions

Genesis Crisis Pregnancy Center

Dear Friends,

Some specific prayer requests:

  1.  Please pray for a teenage girl, raised in a good church, who has gotten in with the "wrong crowd."  I'm certain there are many more like her, maybe in even some of our own families, so lets just pray for our teens in general.  Pray they will know right from wrong, will faithfully attend our churches, listen and develop discernment by knowing the Scriptures, and desire to live for and serve the Lord.  That is the single most important thing our children can ever do!
  2.  Another young lady, raised in the church, has returned for help since she is pregnant.  Pray for her that she will come to the center.  We often receive phone calls like this one, but don't always have the privilege of meeting them personally.
  3.  Anne met with a client in her mid-twenties who states she is going to heaven.  She is living with her boyfriend and two children and doesn't see anything wrong with this lifestyle.  Stated she is "blessed" and has a "unique relationship with God."  Anne discussed adultery (Ten Comm) with her but the client was not convicted of sin in her life.  Client seemed to feel she has special powers of insight and "favor" with God.  Pray for conviction of sin.
  4.  A pregnant client due in the fall met with Julia.  She was in an abusive relationship, unsaved.  Julia spoke with her about confessing sin/repentance through the scriptures and the importance of studying God's Word.  She desperately needs a bassinet which we do not have at this time.  Please pray for this provision as well as her salvation.
  5.  Jane met with a client in her twenties who just had a baby, but is separated from her husband because of his unfaithfulness.  She is a believer.  Pray for her spiritual growth.
  6.  Jane met with another young lady struggling financially.  The Gospel was presented and she was taken to several scriptures.  Several pamphlets and booklets were sent home with her, along with a Bible.  Pray she will read and be convicted.
  7.  I met with a young lady, unsaved, who had a positive pregnancy test.  We discussed her lifestyle, the Gospel, and she was greatly impacted by The Good Test DVD.  She was convicted of her sin, but wanted to read materials sent home with her and think more about our discussion.  She seemed ripe for the Gospel.  I encouraged her to return.  Pray for salvation.
  8.  Jen met with a teen who has an infant and "hopes" she is good enough for heaven.  Child was in desperate need  of warmer clothing, as came on a chilly day with only a diaper on.  We provided her with several baby clothing items thanks to the a generosity of Christians that donate to us.  She viewed The Good Test but was not interested in any commitment to the Lord.
  9.  Anne met with another client in need of clothing for her children.  She has lost custody of one child.  The Gospel was presented as well as several scriptures.  Client asked for a Bible and stated she would read it.  Along with this, she was sent home with other spiritual reading material.
  10.  Another client came in in need of supplies for her baby.  She is 24 with five children and is single.  The Gospel was presented along with scripture, and Jen discussed with her issues of immorality, marriage, etc.  She refused to watch the Good Test.  Pray for conviction of sin and salvation.
  11.  Julia met with a young mother of 25 who has four children.  She is comfortable with her lifestyle and is unsure of her eternal destiny.  Very little apparent interest in the Gospel.  Desired formula for her baby.

Much to pray about in our land, our churches, and at our Center.  Things are happening so quickly in the world and in our nation that it appears the Lord could come very soon.  Thank you for your many prayers for our staff and clients.

Mark your calendars:  Thurs., Oct. 15 Annual Fundraising Banquet at The Hill School at 6:30 pm AND Sat., Oct. 17 Seminar at Berean Bible with our banquet speaker, Eric Barger of Take a Stand! Ministries.  He will be speaking both times about the emergent church, discernment in the church today, and sharing his testimony as a former rock 'n roll musician, new ager, and drug addict.  Both events are free.  A love offering to be taken at the banquet for Genesis; at the seminar for Eric.  Please rsvp as soon as possible.
