Dear Friends,
Several clients to pray for. Please continue to keep Dell Lapps,
Client Advisor, in your prayers, as they had to stop the radiation
treatments to her arm because of skin breakdown. They were to resume
them, possibly Fri. or today pending her checkup. Throughout this,
she's barely missed a day volunteering! Praise God for volunteers like
her, a 16+ year veteran!!
Several things to pray about below....
-
An almost 40 year old client just gave birth and was counseled
by Jen. She is living with a man who is still married to
someone else and has been addicted to drugs. Other
children she has given birth to are in the care of family
members. Stated she was "saved" in a rehab. Does not
attend church. Please pray she will stay clean from drugs
and desire a relationship with the Lord.
-
Thirty year old client with newborn is married and a believer
came to see Jane. She indicates regular church attendance.
Very pleasant client that was grateful for our assistance.
Please pray for her walk with the Lord to remain strong.
-
Client in her mid twenties was in and met with Jane.
Professes to be a believer, but does not attend church.
(Last time she was in she claimed she did attend!)
Jane encouraged her in needing fellowship with other
believers. States boyfriend is living with her and he is HIV+.
Stated he at times is "mean" and commented recently that he
hopes she becomes positive. She has 3 children. Please
pray she will get out of this situation and get herself in a
church, along with her children, and be saved.
-
Dell met with a 19 year old for assistance with baby
items. She considers herself to be going to heaven
because she's "a nice girl." Her parents were not
married and she does not consider living together a sin,
although she is alone now. The Gospel was presented, they
prayed, and she was given church referrals. Pray for
salvation.
-
Anne met with a twentyish client in need of baby
supplies. One child is in foster care. She has been
here multiple times and states she is a believer. She
continues to have children out of wedlock and has had some
criminal issues in the past. Please pray for her and her
four children.
-
A 45 year old grandmother came in for supplies for
grandchildren that live with her. Does not attend church,
and unsure of heaven. Gospel presented once again to this
client. She acknowledges being a sinner and indicated she
had prayed to receive Christ in the past. Anne taught her
how to find Bible verses and encouraged her to find a church to
attend. Please pray for salvation, as she listened
intently to the Gospel.
-
Jane met with a 16 year old for a pregnancy test which
was negative. She has attended the Seventh Day Adv. church
schools until recently. Her mother died two years ago.
Gospel was presented and she desired her sins be forgiven.
She was unsure of heaven. Jane discussed with her how to
practice chastity -- to not get herself in a position with the
boyfriend to sin again. She is open to the Gospel, so
please pray for salvation. We are praying she will return
for more counsel.
-
Jen met with a client in her late twenties who indicates
attendance at a local bible believing church, but does not
appear to be saved. She came to the center with a
"shopping list" of all sorts of things and left annoyed we
didn't give her everything requested (which was a huge
quantity)! She stated she is "walking in the path of the
Lord" and will go to heaven because she is good. Father of
child is drug addict. Please pray for her salvation and
lifestyle.
Thanks so much for praying for all these clients. All are
given the Gospel, most watch the Good Test DVD, and are sent
home with Bibles and tracts as well as various spiritual
booklets. Some are open to the Gospel, some are very
resistant. Please keep our counseling staff in prayer, as
it is a difficult task to reach out to some of our clients.
Many have heartbreaking stories to tell. Many are deeply
entrenched in sin. But, if it weren't for the grace of
God, where would we be?
